Funky Facts

Each week, I get this email from EPM in New York City filled with 5 bits of research. You never know when this will come in handy. For example, at lunch today, I met with someone that is in the online coupon business. (See #2):

Given the chance to participate in the Olympics, Americans would most like to compete in baseball or softball (12.7%), swimming (10.9%), or figure skating (10.6%), says BIGresearch.

58% of people say they'd be more likely to use coupons if they could download them online and have them connected to a frequent shopper store card, reports Information & Communications.


3.

21 million Americans practice target shooting, while 10 million practice archery, according to the National Sporting Goods Association.

4.

36.2 million American women interact with blogs at least weekly, including 15.1 million who write blogs, says BlogHer.

5.

80% of Americans try to eat healthy, but only 10% say they always do so, according to Prevention magazine.
