Walmart Moo-ves to meet Consumer Demand


Love em or Hate em, Walmart is here to stay for awhile. One of the reasons they should do well is that they are positioned already as the leading retailer in a multitude of consumer categories by offering low prices and a decent value.

There is another element that they are doing and that is responding to their customers requests. Media Post shares this story about how Walmart is pledging to sell only "pure" milk. Read on:

GREAT VALUE MILK IS BEING sourced only from cows that have not been treated with artificial growth hormones like recombinant bovine somatotropin (rbST). Sam's Club is also exclusively offering milk selections from suppliers that have pledged not to treat cows with rbST.

While the FDA has stated that milk from cows treated with rbST poses no risk to human health, many Wal-Mart customers have expressed a desire for milk choices, the company says.
