In my city, Lowe's wins.
They were first, they have more stores and they probably have more customers.
Home Depot had more stores than the currently do, but they couldn't keep up with the compition from Lowe's and the Do It Best stores, so they closed a store a couple miles from my home, while Lowe's continues to bring in the do-it-yourself-ers.
